What Making Things Easy programs have you done and when?
“I discovered Making Things Easy though a magazine article and I started in April 16. I have done Best Body, Tummy Attack and Self-Care over last 12 months and I am currently doing BEST.”
What did you think an online programme would be like before you joined in with one?
“I didn’t really have any preconceptions – I just knew I needed to make some changes and going to the gym wasn’t working for me. I knew I needed to make some nutritional / dietary and lifestyle improvements too but hadn’t ever found anything that really encompassed these and fitness together.”
What would you say now you’ve become a regular online client?
“That the workouts never get any easier! But that’s because each time you go back to a workout you’re able to push yourself a little bit more! Being an online programme works so well because you can fit it in anytime anywhere, and you get so much support. But you have to be disciplined enough to press play on the audios make the time for your workouts and to push yourself (which the audios and secret FB group definitely help you with!)”
What would you say to people who question why you repeat bootcamps over and over again, or come back for more programmes?
“I do it because they work! They make me accountable for looking after myself – it’s like having a personal trainer 24/7. I used to take some months off but I realised that to keep results you need to be consistent and keep doing things, even if some months you do slightly less. One of Janey’s key messages is balance and that’s really helped me.”
What do you enjoy most about being a Making Things Easy client?
“The support from the Facebook group is amazing – a great bunch of women that are all doing an amazing job of taking care of themselves. They are always there to pick you up when you need it.”
What do you most enjoy about Janey’s content and style?
“She is a great mixture – challenging you and supporting you. She will always push you to be the best you can. She really cares about everyone.”
Please describe yourself before you discovered Making Things Easy programs?
“I was struggling to look after myself both physically and mentally. I knew I needed to eat better, stress less and exercise more.”
Please describe yourself now, having completed programmes and becoming a regular online client?
“I’m stronger, fitter and healthier and happier in the mornings… I can also run 5k which I have never been able to do before. I have learnt so much about myself and appreciate the need to look after myself.”
What have been the biggest changes in you since you started the online bootcamps?
“My biggest challenge has been making time for myself and not feeling guilty about it. Also not be so hard on myself and to enjoy each day.”
Which has been your favourite programme and why?
“I think the Self-Care bootcamp because it really is a total lifestyle programme. The variety of different trainers mean you can always find an exercise you want to do whatever your mood.”
Can you describe to other women reading this what they could gain in your experience by doing an online programmes?
“They will have somewhere to share their experiences with a group of women with the same goal. Access to a wide range of exercise videos and information that will give them all the tools to make the right choices for a healthy and balance life.”
Do you have any before and after pictures you’re happy to share?
“I don’t have any pictures but before I was burnt out, not enjoying exercising and didn’t know what to do to feel better – now I have so much more energy, worry less and accept myself – we are all work in progress. This was me on holiday this summer where I had a surf lesson and could stand up! I felt really strong and I definitely don’t feel 50!”
