Could you sack the scales?
How many of you have your moods defined by a number on the scales? If it goes down, you’re happy. If the numbers go up, you’re miserable. Why is a number capable of determining how you feel on any given day?
Ladies, it’s time to sack the scales. If you have a lot of weight to lose then the scales will surely go down and that can be a great motivator BUT once you’re well on the way to achieving your best body the scales are NOT the most effective way to measure success.
The scales can’t tell you how much your shape has changed, how small your waist now is. The scales can’t tell you how great all the clothes that were once tight on you, now look. The scales can’t tell you how great your skin looks, how shiny your hair is and how bright your eyes are. The scales can’t tell you how much of your body is now strong, toned muscle.
This quote says it all:
The scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship with gravity. That’s it. It cannot measure beauty, talent, purpose, energy, possibilities, capabilities, abilities, strength, faith or hope. Don’t give the scale more power than it deserves. Take note of the number if you must. Then, get off the scale, smile and go live your life fully, as it was meant to be lived…”

In response to some our Best Body clients who, despite changes to their body shape, new muscle definition and being dress sizes smaller, were disheartened that they weren’t losing pounds and pounds on the scales when others were, we found these pictures of women and their weights that will certainly make you think twice about the importance of that number on the scale…
So, we dare you to sack the scales. Try it for a week, then a month, then for good! And experience the freedom of not feeling emotionally blackmailed by a mere number on the scales.
Ask yourself this very important question… Do you want to be lighter or smaller? Think about it.
